Molyvos Musical Moment @Lobe Canteen 

 The Molyvos International Music Festival on Lesvos is celebrating its tenth anniversary from 16 to 19 August 2024 under the motto PHILIA – ΦΙΛΙΑ – FRIENDSHIP. Founded by the German-Greek pianists Danae and Kiveli Dörken, the festival has been bringing together young international talents every summer for a celebration of classical music in the prehistoric town of Molyvos. This small town, characterised by European and non-European traditions, provides the ideal backdrop for the festival, which aims to bring the musical diversity of the world to life and make it accessible to everyone. In addition to the concerts, so-called “Molyvos Musical Moments” take place during the day at various locations in the village, including the beach, harbour and streets, transforming the village into a musical kaleidoscope of sound.

Such an experience with Greek taverna flair and an idea of Greek summer is already on offer on 21 March 2024 in the Lobe Canteen, to which you are cordially invited.

The two sisters Danae and Kiveli Dörken will lead through the entertaining evening and give a preview of the anniversary festival with a programme of works for four hands at the piano with Mozart and dances by Manuel De Falla and Brahms.
