Bariton Soda: Love Lieder @Lobe Canteen

The award-winning Swiss baritone Äneas Humm, praised by SPIEGEL for his “splendidly sonorous” voice and honoured with the OPUS KLASSIK as Young Artist of the Year 2022, presents Bariton Soda: Love Lieder @ Lobe Canteen. The program includes love Lieder from the Romantic period to operetta.

Äneas Humm has been engaged at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and the Opera di Roma. Further highlights of the current season take him to the Theater an der Wien. Documentary films on SRF and collaborations such as with the rapper Moto Skinny Stylus demonstrate his versatility. He is accompanied by the internationally successful pianist Doriana Tchakarova, with whom he shares a deep musical friendship. Tchakarova’s recordings have won several awards and have been nominated for the OPUS Klassik. She is a lecturer at the HMDK Stuttgart and works with well-known singers such as Samuel Hasselhorn and Juliane Banse.

The bar opens at 6 pm and is also available after the concert.

It’s all about love: Bariton Äneas Humm will lead through an entertaining programme of Love Lieder throughout centuries and genres including works by Johannes Brahms, Robert Stolz and Clara Schumann. At the end, the audience will have the opportunity to choose their personal favourite love Lied from a WISH BLOCK, thus deciding on the musical finale.
